Amir Bar Shalom is an Associate at the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), IDC Herzliya.  Bar Shalom is a journalist, commentator and News presenter  at channel  11 KAN NEWS and channel 1, Israeli TV .former  Anchor of:  morning news  “Good Morning Israel", "yoman"- Israeli main weekend news edition, "mabat" – Israeli main evening news edition, "hadshot hayom"- kan news daily main news summery.  Former  Head of Military Desk and security analyst-   Channel 1,  Head of political desk  KAN NEWS.   

                       

 Amir Journalism's work at Channel 1 started at 1994 since 2000 - Ongoing coverage –of security/defense   events in Israel and overseas. Coverage includes IDF (Israel Defense Forces), Defense Ministry, secret service (shabak), Mossad and other security mechanisms in the various ministries. Daily reports on security issues, live broadcasts, joining dozens of operations in Gaza Strip and  Bank including classified operations. Chief broadcaster in disengagement operation from Gaza Strip and northern Samaria. Chief broadcaster in second Lebanon War. Special mission correspondent in Europe covering ISIS terror attacks.
