Col. (res.) MK Nira Shpak is a MK for the Yesh Atid Party. She is a member of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee; the Finance Committee; and the State Control Committee.

Nira Chairs several Parliamentary Caucuses including: The Caucus for Agriculture and the Food Security of the State of Israel; the Caucus for Strengthening the Gaza Envelope Communities; the Caucus for Examining the Advancement of Women in the Public Sector; and the Caucus for Promoting and Strengthening the Periphery.

Nira served in the IDF for approximately 26 years in various positions including training, command and operations. She served as an operations officer in the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Base, and later served as an operations officer in the National Ground Training Center and head of the Ground Forces Training Branch. She is a Colonel in the reserve and continues to serve even today as a Member of Knesset.

Nira is married to Zohar, and is a mother to Dor Liav (29), Niv (27), and Lee (20), and is also a grandmother to Geffen.

She is a proud member of Kibbutz Kfar Aza which is located in the Gaza Envelope communities.
