Mr. Joseph Gyte

Program Officer, Capacity Building Programs Department, Hedayah, UAE

Joseph Gyte is a Program Officer in the Capacity Building Programs Department at Hedayah, where he leads on the “Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Returning Foreign Terrorist Fighters”, “National Action Plans to Prevent and Counter Violent Extremism” and “Supporting Families in CVE” programs. Prior to joining Hedayah, Joseph worked as a Terrorism Prevention Consultant at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Regional Office for Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Formerly, as a field-based Human Rights Researcher, Joseph also wrote a publication on the feasibility of establishing a rehabilitation center for torture victims within a specific conflict zone. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Cardiff University and a Master’s Degree in Terrorism Studies from the University of St. Andrews.
