Col. Regev Daharug

Began his service in the Israel Prison Service (IPS) as a member of

the “Masada Unit” (a unit operating in high risk and hostage-

taking situations) and participated in the process of establishing

the Unit.

Held various positions in the Unit including: Team Leader,

Operations Officer and Deputy Commander of the Unit.

Colonel Dachroug was the first Commander of the Unit to be

appointed from inside the organization.

Other positions held in IPS: Head of Operations Branch in the

Security Section and Head of Strategic Planning Branch in the

Planning Directorate.

 

Presently serves as Executive Assistant to the IPS Commissioner and

Head of Bureau.

 

Academic Education:

 

B.A and M.A. in Strategy and Security Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv University.
