Mr. Onyango  Opondo is the Deputy Director of the National Counter Terrorism Centre, Kenya.

He is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of South Africa, a Masters in Business Admistration from Cambridge University(UK)-Strategic planning and knowledge management. He is a graduate of Sherman Kent University of Analysis, Alumni of East and Southern Management Institute.

Has held various security related positions in the government of Kenya at senior levels. A part time panelist and moderator with Africa Centre for Strategic Studies campus in Dakar Senegal. Has also been a senior lecturer at Government of Kenya School of Management. Has over 30 years in Public service and a holder of Order of Grand Warrior of Kenya (OGW) National Award
