Prof. Edythe London
Edythe D. London, Ph.D. is a Distinguished Professor in the Departments of
Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, and Molecular and Medical Pharmacology
at UCLA. She is a pioneer in the application of brain imaging to the study of
neuropsychiatric disease, particularly addiction. Her laboratory uses a combination
of brain-imaging modalities, including PET scanning and fMRI, to explore the links
between neural signaling and behavioral functions. Recently, she has initiated a
program on the neuroscience of radicalization, with emphasis on counter-messaging
in the war against terror.
