Seth J. Frantzman was born in Maine, received his B.A at the

University of Arizona and his PhD at The Hebrew University of

Jerusalem. As Oped Editor and Middle East affairs analyst at 

The Jerusalem Post, he has covered two conflicts in Gaza,

the conflict with ISIS in Iraq and developments in the region

over the last three years. He is a contributor to Defense News

 and The National Interest and the author of After ISIS: America,

Iran and the Struggle for the Middle East (Gefen, 2019).

A former assistant professor at Al-Quds University he is also

Executive Director of The Middle East Center for Reporting
